Taylors Hill is a colonial-period Sri Lanka planters bungalow named after James Taylor who introduced tea production to old Ceylon. An hour from Kandy, it was built by a British planter more than 100 years ago and is distinct from most other plantation bungalows in the hill country in its architecture, imposing size and stone façade. This spacious five-bedroom bungalow has been refurbished, offering luxurious comfort and a cozy ambience, and enjoys a picturesque setting surrounded by mountains The stylish interiors are bright and airy and decorated in vibrant colors, soft furnishings and plush sofas. There are five individually-designed bedrooms, all with garden and mountain views. Interiors are stylish and furnished with artistic custom-made beds fitted with mosquito netting, wardrobe and lounge chairs. Rooms are equipped with overhead fans and the ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.

The hotel organises half-day tuk-tuk tours to the Loolecondera tea plantation and factory. Bicycles are available and the area around the hotel is perfect for short and long walks.
