The Hotel
Mango House is a laid-back 7-bedroom guesthouse set in a refurbished Dutch-period building in Galle Fort. It has eclectic interiors and an informal feel. This 200-year old property was originally a Cinnamon warehouse that has been brought to life with vibrant interiors mixed with colonial charm. Architectural features of high timber roofs, clay tiled floors and roof, arched doorways and a broad verandah gives this a feel of an old colonial villa.
Experience at the Mango House
There are seven rooms of which three are located on the ground floor and four are on the upper floor. All rooms open on to a courtyard or balcony except for one bedroom which has no outdoor access. All guestrooms are equipped with a queen-size four-poster bed, air conditioning units, a fan, satellite TV, safety deposit box, and a hairdryer. The courtyard rooms have access to a Mediterranean-style courtyard, while the balcony rooms have private balconies with views over Galle’s antique rooftops.
Mango House only serves breakfast (Continental or English breakfast). There are several restaurants and cafes that will deliver food and the guesthouse staff will be happy to serve it in the ground floor dining area or in the privacy of your own courtyard or balcony.
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, rainforest showers, and organic luxury amenities. The Wi-Fi internet access is provided free throughout the house. For guest convenience, the complimentary breakfast is a choice between English, Continental, and Sri Lankan.
