The Hotel
Melheim Resort is a 14-room mid-range hotel set in the hills of Haputale, overlooking terraced gardens and bordered by forest reserves. Surrounded by mountains, this is an utterly relaxing setting. The 14 bedrooms are spread across four separate buildings. Interiors are contemporary with timber decks, polished cement floors and large glass windows that allow breathtaking views. On a clear day, the views extend to the Uda Walawe reservoir and the southern coast. The gardens attract numerous birds, monkeys, and the occasional mongoose. Melheim is a peaceful and tranquil setting where the soothing sound of flowing water from a nearby stream, rustling leaves and bird call is a constant. This hilly setting is not recommended for those with mobility problems.
Experience at the Melheim Resort
There are 14 Deluxe and Standard Rooms all with mountains views. Rooms are comfortably furnished with dressing table and writing desk and open to a private balcony. Other facilities include overhead fans, cable TV, DVD player, mini-bar, tea/coffee facility, safety locker, room service and laundry service. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.

The swimming pool, steam room and pool pavilion are at the lowest level with views across the jungles and mountains. Upon request, snacks and drinks are served here.
