Weather in Sri Lanka
The months between January to March are considered to be the most ideal, as the entire island enjoys warm, dry weather on most days. The first monsoon season starts from May to September and visits the western and south-western parts of the country. The monsoon season hits the eastern and northern regions of the island between October to February. When travelling to tropical Sri Lanka, one should always be prepared for bouts of rain at any time of the day or night.
