Start your journey exploring the financial capital city “Colombo“. The cozy Business hotels, the high-rising buildings, the quaint cafe’s, exquisite restaurants and bars are all packed together in Colombo. Slow the pace of your trip with 2 nights in Kandy. Visit the Millenium Elephant Foundation and have a walk with elephants, feed and bathe them. Enjoy the Sri Lankan Cultural Dance Show and visit a spice garden to learn about the production of Spices in Sri Lanka.  There after spend 2 nights in Hatton (Nuwara Eliya) where you will indulge the sheer luxury of Ceylon Tea Trails. Combine all this with the tea experience and finally descend to Galle for 2 nights in the renowned Amangalla.

To make your journey more exciting, you will explore the Temple of the Tooth; a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was built in the 16th century as the place of veneration and protection for Lord Buddha’s sacred tooth. Day 01 - Airport - Colombo

As you land, you will arrive in Colombo 60 mins away from the International Airport and check in to the hotel. Later that evening Indulge in a fun Tuk Tuk Safari around Colombo and finally sit down for dinner at a place of your choice. We recommend the Ministry of Crabs, Monsoon & Paradise Road Gallery Cafe. Your luxury holiday begins here.

Day 02 - Colombo - Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, part ways with the cozy Tintagel hotel and move to Kandy. En-route visit the Millenium Elephant Foundation (MEF) which we think is a must experience when you visit Sri Lanka. Settle in for a tour around the City of Kandy later that evening and end the evening enjoying an Authentic Cultural Dance Show. A Scrumptious dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 03 - Kandy - Kandy

Today you will learn about Kandy. Kandy is one of the most architecturally unique cities in Sri Lanka. Maintaining its British heritage, colonial pathways and buildings. During your time in Kandy this morning, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and visit the museum. That evening stroll down the manicured paths of Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden. Learn about the botanical highlights of Sri Lanka and a dive into Sri Lanka’s flora and fauna.

Day 04 - Kandy - Hatton

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and reach the Peradeniya Railway station. Take one of the most scenic train rides in the world from Kandy to Hatton. Your chauffer will meet you at the Hatton Railway Station and take you to Ceylon Tea Trails. That evening go on a tea tour where the resident Tea Planter will demonstrate the age-old tea making process. First, follow the trail of the planters of old Ceylon, as they trekked through the dense jungle looking for the best slopes on which to plant tea. Then on to watch the tea pluckers pick two leaves and a bud with deft hands. Then to the factory where the all-important conversion to “made” black tea happens. The machinery used is of very traditional British design, some as old as 100 years. The process is a very artisanal one, unchanged for a century.

Day 05 - Hatton

Today, leave for Horton Plains at 5am in order to catch the beauty of World’s End before mists descend. The drive would take about 2 hours. A packed breakfast and delicious picnic lunch accompanies you. The tour covers mini World’s End, World’s End and Bakers Falls. In the evening, a leisurely walk or an adventure trek is a delightful way to experience the varied landscapes, exotic flora, abundant birdlife and the sweet rhythm of life in a tea garden. Take in vistas of mountain lakes, manicured tea gardens, forests and doll’s house villages. A guide can be provided or self walk on our marked trails which are selected for varying levels of ability.

Day 06 - Hatton - Koggala - Galle

Today, after breakfast by 10:15 am, reach the Castlereagh Dorm to take the Cinnamon Air Flight to Koggala at 11:15. The flight makes one stop in Hambantota flying over the mountains and then land in Koggala. You will be picked up by a representative of Amangalla Hotel and transfer you to the hotel. Today, you can relax and take an evening stroll down the cobble stoned streets of Galle Fort. This evening your chauffer will meet you with the rest of your baggage (if your baggage is in excess of 23 KG per person).

Day 07 - Galle

Today, after a relaxed morning, visit the Galle Maritime Museum to learn about Sri Lanka ocean limits, Sri Lanka’s Maritime practices, the biodiversity and important artifacts from renowned shipwrecks. Later that evening, go on a walking tour in Galle Fort experiencing 15th Century British and Dutch architecture. High Tea will be served at 3:30 pm at Amangalla. Today we will leave dinner open. You can try some amazing dining options if you take a walk church street. We recommend Heritage Cafe, Hoppa, Peddlars Inn Cafe, and Chambers.

Day 08 - Galle - Airport

Today, depending on your departure flight time, you can either relax or check out of the hotel. Don’t forget to recollect the memories of your trip with your chauffer and write your feedback.
